This policy describes what personal information Tipper (“we”, “our”) deals with when you browse tipper.ae or use our iPhone app Ubies, why we need it and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to support@tipper.ae.

1. Who we are

2. Information from the website

  • Messages you send us. If you use the support form or email us, we get your name, email address, the topic you pick and whatever you write.
  • Analytics, only with your permission. If you allow analytics in the cookie notice, Google Analytics records things like the pages you open, the type of device and browser, the site you came from and an approximate region.

3. Information in the Ubies app

Ubies is a GPS locator for families, so it works with location data. The app reads your device’s location only after you grant permission in iOS, and it shows that location to the family members you have chosen to share with. You can stop location access at any moment in the iPhone Settings; without it, the app cannot show your position to others.

4. Why we use information

  • to run Ubies and show shared locations to the people you have chosen;
  • to answer support questions and fix problems you report;
  • to see which parts of the website are useful, if you have allowed analytics;
  • to keep our services secure and meet legal obligations.

We never sell personal information.

5. Cookies and similar storage

The website saves your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so the notice does not reappear on every page. Analytics cookies are placed only after you click “Allow analytics”. You can reopen the notice and change your mind with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page.

6. Who else receives information

We rely on service providers for hosting, email and, with your consent, analytics (Google). They handle information on our behalf and only for the purposes we set. Some of them may process it outside the United Arab Emirates; when that happens we use the safeguards required by law.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or limit certain uses, or withdraw consent you gave earlier. Send your request to support@tipper.ae. You may also contact the data protection authority in your country.

9. Protecting information

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information. The website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections.

10. Children

Ubies is a family app that may be used to share the location of children within a family. A parent or guardian is responsible for setting up and managing a child’s use of the app and for the permissions given on a child’s device.

When we change this policy, we publish the new version here and change the date at the top.
